Our Approach

Over at Pain Relief Therapy, we believe in a holistic approach to your concerns and empowering our clients to help themselves out of pain by educating them on why they are in pain and how they could manage it. Most of our clients suffer from chronic pain for some time. Sometimes, they suffer the pain in silence and over time, may lead to muscle weakness, fatique and/or anxiety.

Our Manual Therapy services are a blend of the most cutting edge and traditional methods of bodywork such as MAT (Myoskeletal Alignment Technique), IASTM (Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization) ITEC Sports Massage Therapy, ITEC Holistic Massage, Myofascial Release, MLDV (Dr Vodder's Manual Lymphatic Drainage - Advance), TP (TriggerPoint) AIS (Active Isolated Stretching), and NKT ( Neurokinetic Therapy™).

We are also certified rehabilitation movement specialist with a background in EMIS (Exercise Is Medicine Singapore), ACE (American Council on Exercise), and Total Resistance Exercise (TRX).

Pain Relief Therapy believes in a holistic approach and working closely with us are TCM doctors, Physiotherapists, ENT doctor, Chiropractor, Life/Career Coach and Psychotherapist.

To complement our personalised 1to1 services, we offer small group classes as well to faciliatate recovery and educate clients on body awareness, engaging the right muscles to minimize dysfunction and how to move pain free.

  • Have been empowering more than 1000 elderly and individuals on how to recognize dysfunctions that caused chronic pain, including a team of fitness professionals
  • Have been teaching movement and resistance exercises to more than 1000 elderly and individuals through group exercise classes
  • Played table tennis since primary school
  • Was at 125kg at her heaviest
  • Tries to understand the client's lifestyle, habits and previous accidents, these are clues to the chronic pain that are they currently having

Denise Ooi

Something about Denise

  • Denise started her fitness journey in 2004, she enjoys strength training, martial arts and obstacle course racing
  • She draws inspiration from wanting to help her aged loved ones move better and live the best life through movement and especially mobility
  • Coming from sports and exercise science background, she takes pride to create programmes to assess and correct human movement deviations
  • She emphasizes on prehabilitation and training the body and mind to prevent injuries.
  • She believes that prehabuliation is not only crucial for sports people but for every human body to achieve efficiency in the activities of daily living so we can live pain-free into our silver years
