Orthopedic surgeon Jose Palomar MD is a pioneer in the research and development of diagnostic technology and therapeutic interventions for the resolution of receptor dysfunctions also known as Proprioceptive Deep Tendon Reflex (P-DTR). His discoveries indicate that proprioception, how the body processes hot, cold, pressure, pain, etc., is a significant clue regarding neuromuscular responses. The body discerns its best movement and motor response based on a wide variety of factors. These proprioceptive responses help the brain tell muscles how to respond.

All incoming information from the body is sent to the brain for processing. The brain takes this feedback into account when making decisions regarding our movement, among other things. If this information is incorrect, as is often the case, the brain makes its decisions based on bad information. Pain and dysfunction result.
