CINDY

MANUAL OSTEOPATH & FUNCTIONAL REHABILITATION COACH

Cindy’s initial foray into fitness was personal - overcoming obesity (she weighed 125kg at her heaviest!). During this journey, her love for fitness, wellness and group exercise classes grew. These, with her growing passion to empower others to live pain-free and healthily, motivated Cindy to leave the corporate sector and take the plunge into the rehabilitation industry.

Cindy places the highest value on hands-on and active-care approach because of the mind and body’s ability to truly move the dial in a positive direction. Her clients are empowered with knowledge on their posture and muscle imbalances, understand the cause of their dysfunctions, as well as
how to manage it.

In her free time, Cindy enjoys traveling, upgrading her skills, watching movies, and attending group classes such as bodypump, bodycombat, bodybalance, pilates, table tennis and swimming. She also teaches elderly stretch band and low impact aerobic classes.

BELINDA

FUNCTIONAL MOVEMENT COACH

A graduate from the Nanyang Technological University with a Bachelors’ of Mechanical Engineering Degree, you may never guess that Belinda is trained in Latin Ballroom, Salsa, Argentine Tango, Jazz, Modern Dance and Middle Eastern Dance.

She performed and taught for 8 years before a back injury induced a 1-year sedentary lifestyle. After a year’s rest and numerous visits to physiotherapists, she still was not able to exercise or dance without pain. However, shortly after, she found a rehabilitation gym which enabled her to regain participation of her former activities. With a consistent regime of myofascial release and corrective exercises, she could exercise and dance freely again.

Inspired, she returned to studying, to help others lead a healthier, pain-free life. She specializes in helping others balance their bodies physically, reducing muscular pain and increasing range of movement as a personal and rehabilitation trainer.

In her free time, she continues to dance, read, travel and cook.

STEPHANIE

YOGA INSTRUCTOR

Stephanie started practicing yoga during her lowest point of her life. Fast forward 8 years ago, her first beginners yoga class; she found the beauty of the breath and the movement.

Her practice truly deepened in 2017 when she entered the F&B industry. Due to the physical laborious demands, and the stressful nature as a Managing Partner, she was able to benefit from the physical and mental. She explored into Aquayoga ; bringing yoga to water.

Now as a certified Yoga Teacher & Aquayoga. Stephanie's purpose is to share her practice and enable women like her to embrace holistic wellness mind, body and soul.

Students can expect a positive and grounding practice with an emphasis on breath and movement, rooted in alignment with the benefits of aquayoga (which is accessible to all).

MORE ABOUT AQUA YOGA

Physically, Aqua yoga is said to be helpful in a number of ways as it:

* Stimulates the lymphatic system;

* Strengthens the whole body; and

* Improves range of motion and flexibility.

Because the buoyancy of the water in Aqua yoga allows the stress of weight to be taken off of the joints, this can make some asanas, such as balancing or standing postures, feel much easier. It may also help the yogi to find their optimum stretch.

Aqua yoga is also considered beneficial on a mental, emotional and spiritual level. Bathing in water has long been considered a healing practice, and some say that it helps with pain relief, cultivates greater connection with the physical body and helps the yogi learn to “go with the flow.”

The immersion in water is believed to help the yogi cultivate deeper, smoother and more mindful breathing, which may in turn allow them to become more absorbed in their experience.
